Police seized P3 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested 18 drug suspects in Western Visayas within a 24-hour period last July 25.
In Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, Iloilo Province, Iloilo City, and Capiz, authorities arrested seven individuals classified as High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 11 as Street-Level Individuals (SLIs).
The Capiz Police Provincial Office reported the largest haul, confiscating approximately 125 grams of suspected shabu worth P850,000 in a single operation in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City. Three high-value individuals were arrested in this operation.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office recorded the highest number of arrests, with seven suspects detained. Additionally, one suspect was arrested in Bacolod City.
A buy-bust operation in Brgy. IV Poblacion, Himamaylan City, yielded an improvised gun with 9mm ammunition and about six grams of suspected shabu valued at P40,800.
In Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Kabankalan City, the apprehension of three suspects at NOCECO Village led to the seizure of an estimated 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,000, along with drug paraphernalia, P695 in cash, and P500 in marked money.
Further operations in La Carlota and Talisay cities resulted in the confiscation of 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000 and the arrest of two additional suspects.
