On Saturday, Croatia triumphantly secured third place in the 2022 World Cup after a riveting 2-1 victory over Morocco. Unfortunately for the African side, their noble journey ended on an unfortunate note – but with such impressive feats throughout this tournament, they will certainly be remembered!

Croatia came out of the gates flying, scoring in seven minutes through a powerful Joško Gvardiol header. However, Achraf Dari answered right back with his own header just two short minutes later. Mislav Oršić was determined to put Croatia on top and delivered an outstanding finish before half-time – securing Croatia’s lead once again!

Morocco put on an amazing show in Qatar, becoming the first African nation to make it all the way to the semifinal at a World Cup. Though they couldn’t quite get that last goal needed for victory, their efforts were nothing shy of spectacular – taking fourth place and making history!

Croatia has been no stranger to the World Cup stage; they’ve carried prestige with them since 1998, culminating in a runners up medal from Russia just four years ago. Even after another fantastic performance on football’s grandest of stages, manager Zlatko Dalić was still humbled by his team’s admirable accomplishment.

The final match between France and Argentina will be in a few hours, so watch out!
