USAID and partners in Education launched the Education Sector Mechanism (ESM) in the cities of Iloilo and Roxas in the Panay Islands. ESM is a multi-stakeholder mechanism to ensure strategic solutions and interventions in the early grades. It is a platform and an opportunity for all sectors to align goals and values relating to education in their locality.
USAID recognizes the value of convergence among local government units, the Department of Education (DepEd Philippines) and the private sector in support of early-grade learning.
