Google September 2022 Core Algorithm Update

Google announced an exciting new update to their algorithm, which signals noticeable changes for both publishers and searchers.

The Core Algorithm Update was posted on September 12th of this year with some positive responses from those who follow search engine news closely (although there were also predictions that certain corners would be muted).

Core Algorithm Update

A core algorithm update has been announced by Google. This means that there are likely to be changes in the ranking of your website on various searches across all languages and countries where you have a presence, though this remains unclear for now as updates usually roll out over time – sometimes overnight!

You can keep an eye open with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing’s Web analytics or Yahoo’s Performance Management Toolkit which give insight into how different factors including weather may affect SERP rankings locally to avoid any unexpected surprises when they’re applied globally later down the line.

Will Core Update Strengthen Helpful Content Update?

Danny Sullivan recently responded to questions on Twitter, and he said that the effects of this recent update might become more noticeable during a core algorithm change.

He tweeted:

“Maybe the helpful content signal alone wasn’t enough to tip the scales and produce a change in someone’s particular situation, but when we do other updates (core, product reviews), it might add into that and be more significant….”

Danny had hedged his bets by saying “maybe,” but we can be sure that a core update will have more noticeable effects in the future.

Danny was talking about how this algorithm component called “the Helpful Content Update” (HCU) might affect websites; it’s part of what makes them so helpful! Take note that the HCU is constantly running on all sites.

Despite the fact that some early predictions were made saying this HCU update would change everything, Google’s community now regards it with a shrug. Some even express an opinion they expect their helpful content updates (HCU) to come back stronger in September’s core update – but there has yet been any concrete evidence provided as proof beyond vague assumptions based on nothing more than guessing games and hunches!

We disagree.

Based on my opinion of past reviews, I predicted that the latest round of targeted updates would not cause much disruption in the industry. My reasoning behind this is because they only affected obvious spammy or low-quality sites and not average websites like HCU which was also targeted by an announcement with specific bad examples called out within it!

Best Way to Respond to Core Update

It seems like no one is really talking about Google anymore. The whole affiliate marketing space has been quiet on social media lately and there’s not much in the way of comments or discussions online, which isn’t surprising considering how things have been going with their recent updates – especially around pay-per-click campaigns being limited for some companies.

I think now would be a good time as any to start paying attention if you run an ad through them so that when the search console releases new information later this week (which will probably just show more confusion than anything), at least your business won.

The best approach is just to monitor any fluctuations and don’t react, since results may bounce around for the next few weeks before settling down again.
