Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in the United States and will be meeting with US President Joe Biden in the Oval Office. During the meeting, President Biden is expected to announce that he will be providing Ukraine with nearly $2 billion in additional security assistance, including a new air defense system. After their meeting, the two leaders will hold a White House news conference and Zelensky will address a joint meeting of Congress on Capitol Hill in the evening.

This is Zelensky’s first foreign trip since the start of the war in Ukraine, and he was dressed in his signature green cargo pants and a sweatshirt with the Ukrainian coat of arms insignia. The two leaders are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting.
